| 内容記述 | 英語ライティングや発表活動に協同学習を取り入れる試みは以前より行われており、近年ではICT の活用により、協同学習の肯定的な側面が促進される様子が見られる。そこで本研究では、高校3 年生の「英語表現Ⅱ」の授業において、ICT を用いた協同学習が生徒のライティングにどのような影響を与えるかについて探究的に検証した。約 60 人の生徒に「タイムマシーンがあったら何をしたいか」という 80 語程度のタスクを与えた。生徒は、書いた原稿に基づいて短いスピーチを行い、それをタブレットに録画し、さらに学習アプリ「ロイロノート」を用いてピア評価を行うという過程を 2 度行った。その結果、リライトによって平均語数は 6.9 語多くなり、ターゲット文法項目である仮定法を使用する生徒の数が増加した。また、文と文の間の接続（nexus）が改善している生徒も見られた。スピーチの録画やピア評価により、生徒が原稿の文の接続や全体の構造に関して意識を向上させた可能性がある。 | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Previous studies show that collaborative learning methods have been successfully adopted to writing and presentation activities in English classes. Also, research shows that information and communication technology (ICT) have supported some positive aspects of collaborative learning. In this study the authors examined in an exploratory way what effect collaborative learning using ICT would have on students improving their writing. Approximately 60 high school students in two classes were assigned an 80-word writing task with the subject: what would you do if you were given a time machine? Students gave a short speech based on the script they wrote and recorded it on their tablet computers. They also checked their peer’s speech through LoiloNote, a cloud system for supporting classes, which had already been installed on students’ tablet computers. After a brief lecture on some points that the author had noticed while browsing the students’ first drafts, they were required to rewrite the draft and record the second speech. Results show that compared to the mean number of words used on their first drafts, the mean number of words used for their second drafts increased to 87.4 words, with an additional 6.9 words. Moreover, on the second draft more students used the subjunctive mood in their writings, which was necessary for this subject. Improved nexuses between sentences were also found in some of their second drafts, which suggests that recording their speech might have augmented their consciousness of the connections between sentences and of the overall structure of their writing. | |||||||||||||||||
