Using this textbook, I was in charge of lectures on “Pedagogy” at Nagano Nursing College and Komoro Nursing College in 2022. By analyzing discourses in their essays, we clarified what kind of learning nursing students gained through lectures on“education”. The titles of the essays that the students took up were: “Birthplace of character formation, home education”,“Three pillars of learning and character formation,” “Learning methods that embody proactive, interactive, and deep learning,” and “Purposes and goals of education, content and method” were the most common. In every essay, it became clear that the students were learning “education”from the nurse's point of view.
